STATUS QUO.
I understand you are informed and therefore aware of the trending "Wajinga nyinyi" (ignorant fools) a hit by the famous renowned Kenyan top artist Kennedy Ombima, we'll expect more hits of similar genre this festive season, but for now, let's now down our heads for a silent dialogue about status quo.
The economy is at its peak, natural disasters; floods after drought, cancer after chronic tropical ailments on the rise at every corner, to make it worse, the death of humanity in the face of our hearts.
Kenya as a state is not bad neither is the statehouse, parliament and county government, Kenya is bad because of our selfishness residing in our hearts as we occupy top offices.
You might be complaining about poor leadership, poor governance but believe me, this is a National disaster, if you were to occupy the same offices, your case of corruption could be an entirely different case of sophisticated order in looting public funds, I tend to think you will loot even funds meant for death certificates.
Why?
One; because the current generation is rotten, we disposed off moral values long before we were born, what makes us unique is this tendency and habit of raising and reinforcing social vices, we praise wrong deeds and curse good morals. Those with acceptable morals are seen as primitive and foolish, all these are a result of misinterpretation of civilization. This is the genesis of all our problems.
Secondly, we are poor and yet lazy by nature, we prefer to steal rather than to work hard, yes we are poor and lazy nobody should deny.
Being poor is nobody's mistake, it's a mistake that began a long time ago, a mistake committed by prior government planners and economists of Kenya, this has extended its limits to individual level, it makes us tend to be more greedy and selfish, creating a desire to loot more not caring about brothers and sisters around us. I hear even those from royal families currently loot double our imaginary level!
To change the status quo, first let's clean our hearts, go back to the drawing board and renovate moral values, embrace humanity, love without hatred, feed your hungry neighbor and never post it on social media as reward comes from our heavenly father. Stop social media madness and save a neighbor's life.
