At some point, I lost it all.

At some point, I lost it all. Well, for those asking who is Kelvin; Mwalimu Kelvin is a writer and a teacher by profession. I teach biology and mathematics and write about social vices. As I ventured into a writing career, it was a fight as I faced criticism and major resistance from friends. Most of my friends said I couldn't do it, and to be sincere I felt creepy and lost in thoughts. I remember when I started as a poet and everyone was like, "you can't do it", only to be accepted and appreciated under a pseudo name Voke Spencer. A walk at the beach Nothing is as interesting as walking along the beach When the breeze warms offshore the beach And swash overrides backwash As we walk holding hands and a flower It feels magical like the scene of a sinking sun The beauty of a walk at the beach is never the serenity Nor the epic tides and waves from the ocean It is just how I feel holding your hand and waistline A walk at the beach feels as beautiful as your face.
