ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION. Sometimes you just feel to sit by the river and watch as the waters trickle down. The chirping of birds bringing a sense of total serenity in your mind. The orange rays of the sunset finalizing one's great moments. Sadly, all this is gradually coming to an end. Our environment is no more considered. Our hopes are plummeting daily as the ecosystem degrades daily. For instance, the Nairobi River and the Mau forest are evident examples of environment degradation. Pollution of our rivers and lakes is the daily talk. Toxic chemicals released to the water sources kill the aquatic life. Soon or sooner, we shall be importing fish from other countries. Non biodegradable items thrown to the rivers block oxygen supply to aquatic life. Statistic have shown that it plastics can survive almost a century with no signs of rotting.
